It was on a new hotel at Ayala Avenue when different Lifestyle bloggers were all gathered by the Lazada Team for a blogger mix on a one hot afternoon. It was some sort of capping off the summer with ways on how to strengthen each blogger's potential on not just making it big in this industry but earning from this "passion" as well through affiliate programs.
I am beyond grateful to be chosen as one of the invited Lifestyle bloggers to attend this one of a kind event. Knowing that Kryz Uy would come, I totally said yes to this invitation because Kryz is one of the bloggers that I'm looking up to when it comes to blogging.
I'm trying to change the "late" me that's why I came in the venue around 12:30 pm. (When the event is starting by 2 pm hihi) That's why I chose to take a stroll at Glorietta instead and come back by 1:30. To be honest, I don't like events who starts late because of any whatever reasons. Like me, I know most of the people (especially other bloggers) makes it a point to follow their schedules so that they can make it through their daily itinerary.
This blogger mix is also a great venue for each of us to discover up and coming brands who are set to rise in the industry. And one of them is Boom Pods. Aside from their cheerful marketing specialist, what made me feel great upon checking out their mini booth is that they got different line of music-related products like bluetooth speakers and earphones to suite the need of a true blue Lifestyle Wanderer.
Music for me is a way of life, and it's a survival out there in the concrete jungle. With Boom Pods reasonable priced products, we can get our dose of music in different pop of colors and designs to match our style.
Long socks for me are the comfiest pair of socks ever! Aside from the fact that it protects your feet from blisters, it also provides us with different styles to play with when it comes to OOTDs.
Canon also provided photographs during the event for all the participants to enjoy. Their line of digital and DSLR cameras were also on display.
Before the official start of the event, everyone was treated to a feast provided by Discovery Primea and Lazada PH.
To be honest, I wasn't expecting any of my friends to be there that's why I got giddy when I saw these two entering the venue. Being their seat mates was a plus because I get a chance to share thoughts with them while the seminar was on going.
To officially kick-off the said event, Lazada PH's Public Relations Manager amplified everyone by hosting a game. It was some sort of a bring me but the instruction is to bring an item searched in the Lazada app.
I badly wanted to the win this contest because every winner gets a watch to take home. And luckily, I did. It served as my early father's day gift to my dad who's also a watch addict. :)
Inanc Balci, the co-founder and the CEO of Lazada Philippines, talked about the future of Social Commerce. I truly agreed when he said that Cash on Delivery is the most chosen mode of payment when it comes to e-commerce. Apart from the convenience of delivering the goods that you ordered to your house, you also get to pay for it once you confirm that the products delivered to you are the ones that you really ordered. It's actually my favorite mode of payment as well!
If you don't know Kryz Uy yet, she's a style and travel blogger of the Thirstythoughts. She started her blog way back when she was in college as a part of her requirements on a certain subject. After acing the project, she rebranded this blog and turned it to her personality.
Among my favorite parts of her talk was when she taught us how to make our photos more interesting. (On instagram included) Yes, I got a little knowledge on photography but flat laying is my weakness.
Good thing that Kryz gave lots of samples which gave me an idea on how I can enhance the elements on my photos. You should check this out, too!
The bubbly Kryz also hosted a mini contest for everyone in the room. The person who will flat lay the stuff on their loot bags best will win a prize.
Here's my entry. Yes, I did tried my best. But I guess my best wasn't good enough. Lol.
The Chief Marketing Officer of Lazada Philippines, Florian Holm, gave a short discussion about Affiliate Marketing. It really is a big help for bloggers who want to express creative contents and earn at the same time.
Most of the people nowadays do blogging because its their passion. And for some, they've turned their blogs into a commercial platform to also earn while writing their hearts out.
Lazada Philippines has an Affiliate program where all bloggers can join and be connected with. Being ahead of the game in the e-commerce industry, Lazada has a wide range of products where everyone can purchase. (Some are even on great discounts so watch out for that!)
