Not for the Scaredy Cats: Thrill of the Week
What's October without checking out some of the scariest horror films out there? It's the best time to scare ourselves away and be entertained with a good horror or suspense movie!
If you're a huge horror/thriller enthusiast like me, you might want to jot down the following movies to watch at Thrill, Asia's only regional horror, thriller, and suspense movie channel.
THE SHADOW EFFECT
Cam Gigandet stars as Gabe, a young man whose life is turned upside down when his violent dreams begin to blend with reality. From the Directors, Obin Olson and Amariah Olson, it also features Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Michael Biehn. Watch The Shadow Effect on October 2.
THE BROTHERS GRIMM
Next, go on a hair-raising adventure with The Brothers Grimm, Will and Jake. These two travelling con-artists encounter a genuine fairy-tale curse which requires true courage. Directed by Terry Gilliam and starring Matt Damon, Heath Ledger and Monica Belluci, watch The Brothers Grimm on October 9.
THE GOOD NEIGHBOR
It’s a tale of two mischievous high school kids, creating the illusion of haunting an unsuspecting neighbor. While keeping his every reaction under surveillance, they see much more than they bargained for. Starring James Caan, Logan Miller, and Keir Gilchrist, catch this chilling movie directed by Kasra Farahani on October 16.
DON'T KILL IT
As Halloweeen gets closer, the movies get scarier. On October 23, get spooked by the movie, Don’t Kill It. In this film, Demon Hunter, Jebediah Woodley played by Dolph Lundgren embarks on a quest to destroy an ancient demon that terrorizes a small town in Mississippi. It co-stars Kristina Klebe, and Chloe Guidry, and directed by Mike Mendez.
THIRST
Ready for a final scare? Catch Thirst on October 30. A group of wayward teens arrive at a desert boot camp, with no communication, and nowhere to run to. They realize their only chance for survival is to fight for their lives. Starring John Redlinger, Jes Macallan, and Karl Makinen, and directed by Greg Kiefer.
On Thrill, scary tales aren’t just for Halloween night. Get spooked every Monday of October at 9pm.
