Lenovo smartphones re-enter the scene perfectly as the demand for connectivity increased during the pandemic. I remember being excited to try their mobile phones firsthand because Lenovo smartphones are designed and manufactured by Motorola. (aka the creator of the epic Motorola Razr!)

The company is back in the local market with its 2018 models (first time in the PH), the K5 Play, and K5 Pro. Before you shake your heads because of this drawback, allow me to narrow down the reasons why these units are still a good deal.

As someone who loves binging on movies and series, I enjoyed streaming them using the K5 Pro because it's light and compact. Its wide and high-resolution screen allows me to enjoy Full HD videos on Netflix and YouTube as well. I also found myself using the speaker a lot since the sound remains crisp even in high volume. Indeed, this is my go-to Lenovo phone for my multimedia needs.

The K5 Pro boasts of a 5.99-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. It’s fueled by a Snapdragon 636 Octa-core chipset and has 4GB/6GB memory and 64GB of internal storage. Expect no drop in video quality when it comes to shooting as both front and rear cameras carry the same 16MP + 5MP camera setup, with additional flash in the front.

The Lenovo K5 Pro also possesses USB Type-C connectivity, a rear-mounted fingerprint reader for additional security when logging in, and a 4050 mAh battery that has 18W QuickCharge 3.0 support for faster recharging. Price starts at Php5,490.

I'd say the K5 Play makes a good daily driver because it contains the basic smartphone features that one may need. From camera to social media usage, I'd recommend this to old or young folks who are in need of a modern phone to be able to stay connected online without fuzz.

The Lenovo K5 Play features a 5.7-inch IPS LCD screen, with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 430 Octa-core chipset, with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, it consists of a dual rear camera setup with 13MP F/2.2 + 2MP shooting capability and an 8MP F/2.0 front camera. Price starts at Php3,990.

I immediately shifted from the regular earphones to wireless earbuds after hearing its wonders a year ago. Now that I was able to try Lenovo's TrackPods, my main reasons were justified. No tangles, barely-there feel, and portability. I highly appreciated the instructions displayed inside the case.

Soundwise, this pair of earbuds has a richer and detailed sound, all thanks to its Qualcomm CS3 3020 chipset. This can also be used during workouts since it has an IPX7 water-resistant certification. Lenovo's first True Wireless Stereo is available locally for Php5,990.
