Brother P-Touch Cube Labeler Review
My penchant for labeling started back when I was in college. I remember buying an embossing label maker at a bazaar plus a few tapes so I can scrapbook some good memories. Too bad it easily gave up on me after a month or two, leaving me some tapes that became useless to me eventually. Just when I thought my labeling dreams can no longer happen, I was introduced to a much better, easier-to-use labeler, the Brother P-Touch Cube.

AESTHETIC
The Brother P-Touch Cube and the Design&Print App |
The Brother P-Touch Cube's simple and compact design is already a win for me. Compared to other labelers in the market, this label maker doesn't take too much space in the desk. Basically, all labeling functions are housed in its dedicated app that's available in both iOS and Android devices for free.

Because we can't have everything in life, the Brother P-Touch Cube still comes with a manual cutter. Fret not, because cut marks are present in every print to guide the user where one should cut exactly.
ACCESSORIES

In my experience, this label maker, powered by the batteries alone, only lasted me about an hour or two before it needs to be replaced. Because I know I'll be overusing this in the near future, I bought myself a Brother AC power adapter so I can ditch the batteries forever.
More tape options! There’s even a Hello Kitty one! |
Another accessory that I'm excited to hoard are the tapes that come in different colors, sizes, and finishes. Just to give you an idea, here are some tapes that you can use with your P-Touch Cube — the standard label tape, basic laminated tape for that minimalist look, matte silver tape for something a little more stylish, and special tapes (like the ribbon tape) that are available on request. Here's a cheat sheet of all the tapes one can buy for this label maker. The cost of the tapes ranges from P650 - P850.
HOW IT WORKS
Inside the Brother Design&Print App |
Simply scan the QR code located at the side of the label maker or download the Brother Design&Print app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Once downloaded, connect the Brother P-Touch Cube to your phone via Bluetooth. After this, you can now check out the print-ready templates and frames, or create your own label. Next, print the label from your phone. Once done, press the manual cutter on the device.
WHERE TO LABEL?
Labeling idea: Organizing each spices by labeling them |
While you can create labels for your kitchen, storage bins, garage & garden, home office, gifts, and school & identification, I chose to create labels for my month-end recap journal. I'm not that crafty which is why the playful frames and fonts installed in the Brother app definitely amped up my journaling skills.

VERDICT
My first journal using labels printed with the Brother P-Touch Cube |
I'm really glad to have discovered the new Brother P-Touch Cube label maker. My inner Monica Geller is squealing because I can once again organize and label my stuff with ease. The device is also uncomplicated which is why I was able to print labels in no time. I can’t wait to get my hands on the ribbon tapes so I can personalize ribbons that I'll be using to wrap Christmas presents! 😍
