Ladies Must-Have: An ASUS ZenPower Slim Review
If a woman is to a little black dress (LBD), then so is the latest ASUS ZenPower Slim! I kind of squealed on the inside the moment this power bank was handed to me because of how gorgeous and sleek it is.
Here’s what inside the ASUS ZenPower Slim Box:
* ZenPower Slim Power Bank
* standard microUSB Cable
* Manual and Warranty Information Form
Believe me or not, I’ve been a fan of the ZenPower since the beginning of Power Banks. It was a no-brainer that I'll be getting a ZenPower in preparation for an upcoming out of town trip. I didn't regret getting it for Php 1000 because it saved my life many times despite the number of fumbles it received. 😊
The ASUS ZenPower Slim boasts three product features: Slim Design, Safety and Artwork.
Comparing to the other ASUS power banks, this comes in 8.3 mm thickness only. I immediately felt the difference the first time I charged my smartphone using this. It is lightweight and my hand felt comfortable the entire time I'm using my phone (even if the power bank is attached to it).
It also has the exclusive ASUS PowerSafe technology to protect the owner and the device. It can detect voltage and prevents excessive charge on the smartphone.
Lastly, this model features a Hair-line Surface Treatment with Transparent Light Design. This is a standout from the standard metal finish of the ZenPower and ZenPower Pro. In my opinion, this design looks more elegant compared to the latter.

The con? The ASUS ZenPower Slim is currently available in 3000 mAh only. Meaning, this power bank can fully-charge smartphones once. Yet on my end, this is understandable given its sleek design. It would be great though if through innovation, ASUS can come with a SUPER ZenPower Slim that can cater 10050 mAh battery. It’s the dream right there! 😊
How can this disadvantage be an advantage to us, ladies? In events where we can’t bring bulky stuff (formal gatherings, for example), the ASUS ZenPower Slim comes in handy because of its optimal size and LED flashlight feature.
Ever feel awkward holding your big ass power bank while snapping photos during an event? This power bank saves you with its thin build and jet-black cable. It can definitely fit your itsy bitsy pouch or the dress in your pocket as well. Add to that is the hairline texture of the unit that gives off extra class to your whole ensemble.

This power bank also has an LED flashlight that you can use for emergency situations like finding the coin that you accidentally dropped in the Uber car or searching for that condo keys in your unorganized everyday bag.

1. Pressing the power button twice will turn on/turn off the LED flashlight.
2. Fully charge the Power Bank before using it for the first time.
It took me 2.5 hours to charge this power bank for the first time. Given its low mAh, I realized that the charging time is also faster. A huge advantage for on-the-go people like me. 😃
3. Use the bundled cable when charging the Power Bank or when using the product to charge your device.
The Asus ZenPower Slim is currently available at Lazada for Php 499. This a friendly price that I'm willing to pay for comfortability. 😊
I definitely recommend Asus ZenPower Slim for short trips outside, like a quick stroll in the mall or in daily commute. Its build is a huge advantage to those who do not like carrying around heavy stuff around. Its design is also a major factor to consider when you plan to bring a power bank in your power dresses. However, if you are going for long travels, the ZenPower or ZenPower Pro is the way to go.
The short charging time is something to consider as well since I'm not the type who full charges a 10050 mAh on a daily basis because of the prolonged charging time. Lastly, its price is affordable given the quality and comfortability it provides. 👏
