Hotel Review: The Linden Suites, Ortigas
The scorching hot nowadays makes me long for another staycation in the metro. The heat makes me so unproductive at home because a single move already makes me feel icky. Do you feel the same? 😣
This reminds me of another great staycation I've had a couple of weeks ago at The Linden Suites in Ortigas. Located in a prime location (it's a few blocks away from SM Megamall!), the hotel provides a quick escape within the busy streets of Metro Manila.
I wasn't exactly sure where the hotel is located so I let the Uber driver used Waze to navigate us. Little did I know that we were directed to the back entrance of the hotel, which was also nice because the tall buildings beside Linden Suites provided nice shades in the street.
The wooden walls and lavish tiles spoke to its year of existence: timeless and grand. The lobby is not as big as the ones in other hotels which is why people easily fill the entire ground floor.
THE DELUXE ROOM
I personally prefer rooms with high ceilings and this room undoubtedly delivered. Add to that the life-sized window that lights up the entire room with sunlight. There wasn't an impressive view though because our view is the 2nd tower of The Linden Suites. (not a big issue though!)
Nostalgia alert! It was ages since I last enjoyed hearing music in a contemporary entertainment system. I ditched my Spotify app and tune into one of my favorite radio stations instead. Just like the old times.
Right before entering the bathroom, I vanity wall with huge mirror and chair is situated. I fantasy this setup in my bedroom in the future! ❤️
The bathroom looks pristine because of the plain white color of the tub and toilet matched with a ceramic green bar where the sink and other toiletries are.
THE HEALTH CLUB
The entire 9th floor is dedicated to the fitness and leisure area, from the gym, massage room, jacuzzi, sauna, to the swimming pool.
Just an idea, this pool will be a good place to rent out if you wanna throw a party with your friends! :)
EARTH HOUR 2017
It was timely that during our stay, Linden Suites participated in the Earth Hour with a smores party at Sky Lounge (Linden Suites' roof deck area). Who can't say no to smores, right? 😚
We watched the Day After Tomorrow over smores and Ortigas skyline. I've never enjoyed a roof deck activity in a long time! ;)
MESCLUN RESTAURANT + CAFE
We went to Mesclun Restaurant + Cafe to enjoy our complimentary breakfast. The food options were limited though. Because the viands didn't completely suit my mood that morning, I opted for wheat cereals, slices of bread and my coffee fix instead.
THE VERDICT
I didn't expect to like The Linden Suites at first because I thought it was like a typical hotel in a central business district location. I liked the way the staff accommodated me during my entire stay. They were pleasant, hospitable and always ready to help. (I had a TV issue lol)
Also, the high ceiling room was a huge win for me as well! The room looks entirely bigger than usual because of this. I loved every inch of the room where we stayed. ❤️
Lastly, I had the greatest time at their indoor swimming pool. Sunburn is not a concern at all, especially if you wanna dip in the pool on a hot summer afternoon.
THE LINDEN SUITES is located at 37 San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City 1600, Metro Manila, Philippines
