Three Reasons to Love Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation
Without a doubt, the climate here in our country is quite unpredictable. During the morning, you'll walk out of your home feeling fresh. Then between the day, you can feel your face oiling up because of the unpredictable weather. Disadvantage of living in a tropical country, eh?
As to how Maybelline puts it, the newest Dream Velvet Soft Matte Hydrating Foundation is here and it has most lightweight, hydrating, and velvet-smooth texture created yet to perfectly cover your skin with hot or humid weather.
Now, take a read below as I enumerate my reasons why I (and you too) love this one of a kind foundation:
Matte and Hydrating
Just to let you know, this foundation is applicable to all skin types.
Dream Velvet maintains moisture from the skin yet it’s matte and lightly hydrating as well for oily skin types – curbing shine while still providing only the right amount of moisture that won’t make you look oily or greasy.
This foundation easily glides on my skin and doesn't accentuate specific lines around my eyes. The finished look after applying the Dream Velvet on my skin is kind of similar with my cushion foundation. In terms of staying power though, I'd choose this product more.
For days when I don't feel the shine on my skin, I just set it with my favorite translucent powder to create a more mattified effect. I usually do this when the weather outside is humid.

By using the Dream Velvet, I don't need to dispense too much product because it spreads evenly on my face with a small amount already. Also, it's unique gel-whipped formula glides and sets freely on my skin with the use of my fingers. The foundation has an ultra-lightweight feeling as soon as I blend it out. Truly works like magic to me ;)
Five Shades to Choose From
Believe me when I say that I haven't gotten the art of looking for my shade in foundation yet. I'm feeling thankful that Maybelline comes in five shades translated in numbers and its descriptive name to match most of the filipina's complexions . :)
Nude, Sandy Beige, Pure Beige, Natural Beige and Honey Beige are the shades to choose from the Dream Velvet collection. Among the five, Sandy beige has the yellowish undertone that fit most of the Filipino skin.
Don't get me wrong in these though, you still have to ask a makeup professional (visit Maybelline counters and ask their beauty assistant if you may!) so you'll know what's the suited shade for you.
The Dream Velvet Foundation product comes in a plastic tube where anyone can easily control the amount of product as it dispenses. I also bring it with me most of the time since I usually do my makeup in the car. Good thing the Dream Velvet tube is sleek that's why it finds it room in my travel makeup kit. <3
