Relient K at Alabang Town Center
I really find it amusing when I get to discover new bands
that offer great music. As a music lover, the more I am exposed to new sounds, the more I'm inspired to do better in music. I am proud to say that Ayala Malls
never failed to be that venue on bringing the best bands
and musicians on the country.
Last September 28, 2013, the band Relient K went to Alabang
Town Center as a part of their Ayala Mall Tour.
Just to give a little hint about them, they are an American rock band formed in 1998 in Canton, Ohio, by Matt Thiessen, Brian Pittman, and Matt Hoopes during the band's junior year in high school. Imagine how long have the guys been playing together!
The group is associated with the contemporary Christian music culture, most notably the Christian rock and punk scene. The group has also performed alongside secular artists.
I am still new to their music but I already fell in love with
their music the first time I've heard of them. Especially their album the
Collapsible Lungs!
I wasn’t aware that Ayala Land is celebrating their 25th
Anniversary. As part of their #25surprises to everyone, we were asked to look
under our seats and look! Free Jamba Juice and Free Krispy Kreme doughnuts to everyone.
What a surprise! :)
For the main act, please give it up to Relient K! (*Claps)
:)
They had a one-hour show that brought everyone to laughter
and tears. Their music is so good that I imagine myself listening to it on a
Sunday morning while road tripping with friends.
After their performance, I grabbed my own Jamba Juice and Krispy
Kreme.
Thanks Ayala Land! Cheers to more bountiful years! :)
As a gift to you my readers, here’s my video of their performance singing "Getting Over
You". Have fun watching!
