RCBC Reveals “We Believe in You” Philosophy

Sunday, July 30, 2017

I can remember during in my college years, RCBC was the first bank I entrusted my savings with. They were accommodating to students like me back then. And opening an account to their humble bank was a no fuss. 🙌🏼

Rizal Commercial Bank Corporation (RCBC), one of the leading universal banks in the Philippines, today unveils its new corporate logo and tagline “We believe in you,” which signals the start of a new era of providing excellent and trusted banking services for Filipinos.

Present during the celebration were RCBC Chairperson Mrs. Helen Y. Dee (middle) and RCBC President & CEO Mr. Gil A. Buenaventura (2nd from left). They were joined by Bankard President & CEO Simon A. Calasanz (1st from left); RCBC Savings Bank President Mr. Rommel S. Latinazo (2nd from right) and RCBC Chief Marketing Officer Ms. Ces F. Natividad (1st from right).
“This milestone signals the arrival of a more committed, refreshed and re-energized RCBC, that is ready to meet the demands of the ever-changing Philippine banking industry,” said RCBC President and CEO Gil A. Buenaventura.

Pink Drink at Starbucks PH!

Last summer, I stumbled upon a post about the Starbucks Pink Drink in the US. I drooled on my screen as I checked out the Strawberry Acai Refresher drink with coconut milk and strawberries on top because of how refreshing it looked. (Who would resist on the fresh slices of strawberries in a drink?) Too bad, this drink was unavailable here in the Philippines.

After summer, Starbucks Philippines is treating us with our own pink drink locally! (Woohoo!) Introducing the Açai Mixed Berry Yogurt Frappuccino.

The Açai Mixed Berry Yogurt Frappuccino® blended beverage combines Açai berry-infused yogurt with bursting pearls that will delight you with the distinct and refreshing notes of mixed berry, finished with light and creamy milk foam.

Sunday, July 23, 2017

If there is one thing that would scare the daylight out of you, it would be a horror movie. The chilling feeling when watching just gives you a rush of excitement and adrenaline that no one can explain. Remember the time when Emily Rose twisted her body while being exorcised? Or how about the infamous kid under the sheets from the Japanese horror film, the grudge? Scary, right?

Whether you’re a fan of the spooky tales from Japan or the intense storylines from the US, you will get to enjoy the best of both worlds because Thrill, Asia's only regional horror, thriller and suspense movie channel, will give you a new Japanese horror show that will premiere on July 27!

From executive producer, Darren Lyn Bousman, who also directed Saw II, III and IV comes Crow’s Blood, a thrilling story about a transfer student named Togawa Maki played by Sakura Miyawaki of the music group AKB 48.

Strange things start to happen when Maki arrives at an all-girl's high school. Upon arriving, other kids seem distant and hesitant to become friends with her. Although one girl named Kaoru Isozaki (played by Mayu Watanabe from AKB 48) opens the doors of her friendship to Maki. As Maki grows close to Kaoru, she becomes weirdly obsessed with her.

Little do people know that Maki isn’t just your typical average student, she is a reanimated corpse brought back to life. Her father tried using an untested regeneration virus on her in an attempt to bring her back to life. Will she fit in with the kids of today’s society? That’s for you to find out!

Feel your spine tingle and watch human beings attempt to play God in this modern day series of science and technology. Get ready to hide under your blankets as you journey inside the mind of Maki and follow her day to day in this series full of blood, love, and mystery in the modern Japanese society.

Photo Diary: Visit London For the First Time ✈️

2017 is officially my travel year. 😍

No words can express how blessed I am to unlock firsts this year in terms of travel. This includes riding the plane for the first time, visiting South Korea with my 1DMG family, and visiting Hong Kong for a renowned tech conference in Asia.

With all these experiences sinking in as I jot them down in this blog post, the wanderer in me feels 100% achieved. (Kumbaga quota na!!) It was at the end of each trip where I felt the real sense of fulfillment because of all the new knowledge I've obtained as I cap off each visit. It may be tiring every single time, but I'll never, ever complain getting the chance to see the world in my own eyes.

If asked for my future travel goals, there is still that undying desire to explore Europe in my late 20s. (As seen here) And since Europe is one hella big continent to explore, London is the top city in my list of places to visit. Bumping with the queen herself would make an awesome experience, right? lol just kidding. London tops my list because of my Twinnings obsession, their way of life, and their picturesque city in general. :)

Just take a look at the photos below and be mesmerized by the beauty of this cosmopolitan city. ❣️

Get Your Dream European Vacation with RSB’s Save Up and Fly Promo

Wednesday, July 19, 2017

Petite France in South Korea made me realize how much I wanted to tick off Europe in my travel bucket list in my late 20s! Inspired by this little French Village, I'm excited to immerse myself in the European culture and try their delish, authentic dishes firsthand! 😛

(Oh, I get butterflies in my stomach just thinking about the possibilities in traveling to not just a new country, but a new continent as well!)

Now, Filipinos like me wishing to visit Europe will now have a chance to make their travel dreams come true with the new “Save Up and Fly” promo from RCBC Savings Bank (RSB).

Zark's Burgers: More Than Just a Homegrown Brand

Famous for the long lines during the sale of their Jawbreaker burgers and burger competitions, Zark's has been a classic choice of a burger joint that's bang for the buck. Dining here with the boyfriend during our first "official" date and lining up for the Jawbreakers ourselves in their BF branch a few years ago, Zark's was already imprinted in our minds when we choose for options on where to spend our all-out cheat day.

Patty Villegas - The Lifestyle Wanderer - Zarks - Burger - face off

Because we Pinoys embraced the western cuisine wholeheartedly, young entrepreneur, Rolandrei Viktor “Zark” Varona, took advantage of finding the middle ground in offering hamburgers that truly satisfy even the most gargantuan appetites, yet at prices that do not break the bank.

The Universe is Telling Me Something: I Should Go Back to the Fitness Track

Wednesday, July 5, 2017

I used to be that kind of student who's highly involved in school sports. Being the pabibo that I am, I joined the badminton, chess, and table tennis varsity team back in my late elementary and high school years. (Talk about a student who's desperate to be excused in class lol 😜)

Moving to the #youngadulting stage, I found myself struggling to insert exercise (even jogging!!) in my daily routine. My work routine often takes it toll on me (because of #1 commute!) that I reach home tired and sleepy already. While on the weekends, I prioritize my blog backlogs from events that I attended over the week that passed. SO PAANO, DIBA?

A few weeks ago, I got invited to two consecutive events that revolve around the fitness topic. As the title suggests, I think that the universe wants to imply something. Perhaps go back to getting engaged in fitness after a long time?
