Best Sellers Take Over Avon City

Wednesday, May 31, 2017

I used to not appreciate my mom's fondness for direct selling products because of the "brand-conscious" in me. I remember back then, we have these personal care products at home for me. She buys these products from our neighbor mainly because of its affordability. In fairness, after giving it a try, I found out that these products also deliver! My expectations were met. That's the day I stopped being a judgmental brand-conscious person and became more thorough in testing products instead.

Recently, I was invited to Avon Philippines first ever experiential product expo that features their best selling products. Who am I to say no! This invite is as if a gateway to all the products that help make who AVON is today. ;)

As we entered the grounds of Avon City, I immediately noticed the different thematic booths that match the Avon products it features.

AVON FASHIONS LOUNGERIE

Can you believe that women should get out their measurement every 3 - 6 months? Avon stressed that the lady's bust size changes from time to time because of factors like hormonal changes, pregnancy and etc.

10 Must Experience in Korea for First-Time Visitors

Tuesday, May 30, 2017

Traveling to South Korea has been a huge surprise for me because (1) it wasn't on my list of countries to visit and (2) I really want to see Japan before anything else. While I prayed to God to give me the best first-time experience abroad, I didn't expect He'd unearth so many great things to experience right before me in Seoul.

Just to give you a hint of how my trip to Korea went, it was all touristy and gastronomic! I've never gone back to the hotel feeling "bitin" because every minute spent on the streets of Seoul was hella worth it.

Indulge me as I narrow down SOME things
that first-time visitors in Korea have to experience:

Get Schooled on Sun Protection!

Monday, May 29, 2017

This year's summer is one for the books because I get to travel to three different cities despite my daily work. The past two months jumping around Baguio, South Korea, and Quezon province was an adventure I will not forget because the food trip, bonding, sightseeing, and immersion were a huge breather from my busy toxic life.

For a person who likes to wander around, bathing under the sun is usually an issue. But not for me because I make sure to ALWAYS slather my skin with sun protection.

A derma once said to me, "You can forget your moisturizers, but not your sunscreen!" With this, I also make it a point to remind my friends to invest in sunblocks as well.

In case you live under a rock, sunscreen shields the skin from harmful sun rays and prevents the skin from premature aging. May this blog post serve as a little nudge for those of you who don't use sunscreen daily yet. ;)

#TLWandersKorea: What I Ate For 5 Days

Sunday, May 21, 2017

I wasn't a fan of Korean cuisine until I got a chance to try Ye dang in Pasig (Korean BBQ restaurant) a few weeks before I left for Seoul. Since then, I counted the days until my flight to Korea just so I can finally try their authentic food selections.

Seoul introduced me to their wide array of food options, from their local street food, their adaptation of global fast food chains, their Korean BBQs (of course!), to their mouthwatering cafe desserts.

Check out the simple documentation of my 5 day food crawl at South Korea:

Hotel Review: The Linden Suites, Ortigas

Saturday, May 20, 2017

The scorching hot nowadays makes me long for another staycation in the metro. The heat makes me so unproductive at home because a single move already makes me feel icky. Do you feel the same? 😣

This reminds me of another great staycation I've had a couple of weeks ago at The Linden Suites in Ortigas. Located in a prime location (it's a few blocks away from SM Megamall!), the hotel provides a quick escape within the busy streets of Metro Manila.

FINAL Linden Suites - Earth Hour - 2950

I wasn't exactly sure where the hotel is located so I let the Uber driver used Waze to navigate us. Little did I know that we were directed to the back entrance of the hotel, which was also nice because the tall buildings beside Linden Suites provided nice shades in the street.

FINAL COLLAGE Linden Suites - Earth Hour - 2950

The wooden walls and lavish tiles spoke to its year of existence: timeless and grand. The lobby is not as big as the ones in other hotels which is why people easily fill the entire ground floor.

#TLWandersKorea: Flytpack in South Korea Review

Thursday, May 18, 2017

My South Korea trip ended two weeks ago, yet, I long to be back in that beautiful country in the soonest possible time. It became my instant happy place because of all the good memories I've had even in a short span of time. ❤️

I know it took me a long time to write about my first trip abroad. I wish I had written sooner, but I had so many things to settle as soon as I got back in PH! The good thing though is that now, I'm back in writing and I have so many stories to share with you in the coming weeks. Lots of food and itineraries involved. Hooray! 🙌🏼

I'm kicking off the #TLWandersKorea series by writing about my Flytpack WiFi router experience first. Many of you have probably heard Flytpack already because of the number of lifestyle and travel bloggers who shared their great experience with this WiFi router provider during their trips abroad, whether in Asian, Western, or European countries. This is the main reason why I also gave their travel wifi router a try during my 5-day trip to SoKor.

FINAL Patty Villegas - The Lifestyle Wanderer - #TLWandersKorea - Intro Paragraph -1

I cannot help but overthink a few days prior the trip on how I'll survive if ever I get lost in the streets of Seoul (!!!), so on and so forth. That's why as a digitally-obsessed person, the desire to be connected online as soon as I step in Korea is my top priority.

8 Items That Will Make You Wanna Binge Shop at Tickles Stat!

Sunday, May 14, 2017

I'm guilty of flaking out always most of the time whenever there are happenings in the north. Few reasons that can make me say, "Tara, punta tayo ng Quezon City!" are when, (1) there are important events that cannot be missed, (2) go to the meeting place for a travel out of town and (3) a shopping spree at the newly-opened Tickles, SM North EDSA! 😉

Back story. Tickles has always been in Alabang Town Center since we moved in the south. The different trinkets in display entice me to stroll around their latest items everytime I pass by to their store.
Just last December, I remember purchasing the Drunken Tower game from them. It's like Jenga but instead of small pieces of wood, the players need to balance the stack of plastic chairs in order to win. We played it during the holiday festivities and it got some of my friends tipsy. teehee :p

Now that Tickles opened their latest flagship store in the north, I knew I just needed to check out what novelty items they got this time!

Gin X Art: GSM Premium supports local art scene

Wednesday, May 3, 2017

GSM Premium Gin brought elevated cocktail experience and the arts together at the recent Art in the Park held at the Jaime Velasquez Park, Salcedo Village in Makati City. Art in the Park is a gathering of a diverse group of artists and art enthusiasts with the mission of making visual arts accessible to everyone.

While art aficionados enjoyed GSM Premium Gin’s handcrafted cocktails, they also contributed in producing a unique art installation wherein returned cocktail cups were recycled and turned into an instant art work that formed a rendition of the iconic Ginebra San Miguel logo of National Artist Fernando Amorsolo. In addition to the art installation, visitors modernized a stencil artwork of the St. Michael the Archangel logo by adding dashes of colors.

“GSM Premium Gin is about elevating taste by making people experience the finer things in life. Our presence here at Art in the Park signifies that our brand appreciates art not just as a form of expression, but as a medium that can be purposeful. Through Art in the Park, we help grow local talent which is just the beginning of the greater things in store for the brand and for the art community,” said GSM Premium Gin Assistant Brand Manager Giselle Villanueva.

The Instagram-worthy GSM Premium Gin Cart was likewise an attraction in itself. Inspired by the 183 years of heritage and history of Ginebra San Miguel, the gin cart is also highlighted by the iconic logo of Amorsolo etched on its wooden finish. The full-service mobile bar offered visitors Ginebra San Miguel Premium Gin in expertly crafted cocktails such as the refreshing Calamansi Surprise, Sweet Lemony Martini and Mango Paradise, plus the classic Gin and Tonic, prepared by Ginebra San Miguel’s world-class mixologists.

GSM Premium Gin is an exquisite blend of botanical extracts and juniper berries, splashed with a tang of delectable citrus and blended with high quality alcohol. GSM Premium Gin is a consistent Gold Quality Label awardee of the Monde Selection International Institute for Quality Selections.
