My New Year Salubong in 9 Photos

by - Sunday, January 01, 2017

The year that passed has been a very special one. It tested my decision-making skills, strength, patience and faith. Instead of contributing to the essay writing posts on Facebook, I opted to write mine on the latter part of this post instead. <3

Before anything else, let me share with you first how my new year salubong went in 9 photos. Decided to do this one to kick off my goal to be active in doing photography again. Hope you enjoy the images below! :D

We forced Mae (one of the youngsters in the group) to drive us to Evia Lifestyle Center. We originally planned to get milktea around the subdivision. With a little pushing, we made her drive us to the mall instead. lol

Starbucks will always be a default choice whenever I'm at to Evia.  In my opinion, this branch is included on the top 3 most beautiful Starbucks Coffee branches locally.

Since the holidays will soon be over, I decided to get a Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino to cap off 2016. Nomnom!

We dropped by the supermarket to buy a fruit for Jonas' fam and some junk food for later's post-New Year celebration. I'm so happy because I found at that Evia's supermarket sells Smart Food White Cheddar Popcorn! <3

The incomplete photo of the clique. I'm happy though because like in every year, I'll be welcoming 2017 with them! :D

The New Year Celebration spread at home! The Mary Grace Brownies and Food for the Gods are heaven-sent! :)

Anyone with allergic rhinitis will truly relate to this! Made it a point for my sister to purchase my mask back when she was still in Japan because they're thicker and more comfortable unlike the ones we have here.

This is prolly the best gift that I received this holiday season: a complete family photo

Even though the rain was a bummer, we still managed to have fun celebrating the new year in the neighborhood. Truly one for the books! :)

There were many times when I realized I was close to quitting last year. With me trying to be a responsible 22 year old woman, it was a hard internal battle between my heart and mind. I couldn't find the right words to explain my emotions. A great sign that I must've had took life to personally that I feared every step that I took.

Given the circumstance, God, my family, friends and workmates (that eventually became my 2nd family) made 2016 worthwhile and bearable. With all that happened, they made my life more lit and less stressful. They moved me to become a better person. It is true that even if you lose amazing people in the past, a new set of wonderful people will welcome you in open arms.

My key takeaway for 2016 was to go with the flow as I achieve my goals on the side. But for 2017, it will be all about Upskilling and retaining relationships for keeps!

Wishing you all a magnificent year ahead! Happy New Year everyone. :)
