Sufree Tea Party

by - Tuesday, May 31, 2016

There's no denying that I'm a self-confessed sweet tooth. Yup, I take pride in all the pastries and coffee posted in my instagram account. I almost always look forward to dessert time because let's admit it, what is a full course meal if there's no dessert to top it all off. Times come though when I realize how much sweets have I been intaking and its long term effects on my bod.

Thankfully, I was introduced to Sufree Stevia Sweetener few weeks ago at Sip and Gogh in Kapitolyo. I'm not really fond of sweeteners since sugar is always another option. But on this day, I was introduced to an all natural sweetener and I couldn't be any happier.

There were variety of food in the late noon spread that's what offered to us prior our activity. Of course, the pastries and the juices are made with Sufree. Upon trying them out, there was no queer aftertaste at the sweets which is a great thing!

In case you don't know yet, Stevia is plant and its leaves are used to make zero calorie sugar substitutes. Since its heat stable, it can also be used for more baking and cooking as well.

What I love about Sufree is that its a healthier option to enjoy sweets. A sachet is already equivalent to two table spoons of sugar already and its calorie free, too.

As a treat to everyone, part of the Sufree Tea Party is a painting session lead by the Sip and Gogh Kapitolyo team.

We were provided with our canvass, dipping cup with water, brushes and palette with paint in our seats.

I figured out that chances are, you will mistake your cup as a juice. So take extra precaution when you feel thirsty while painting or better yet, steer away your drinks away from your dipping cup to be sure. Hee hee

What we're going to do is to recreate the artwork below. I kind of laughed at myself because I got almost zero skills in painting. Hahaha

The truth of the matter is, I always wanted to paint. However, painting seems to dislike me that's why I never tried creating my own masterpiece. The good thing is that Sip and Gogh is a great venue for people who wants to live the dream of painting with people to guide you to make sure you're doing your artwork right.

But like what I've said ago, they got people to guide the "artists" all over the place. Take a look at my progress below! :)

I commend the staff at Sip and Gogh for the patience in teaching us the right way of painting. Seems like I did a nice job on my first ever paint on canvass. It's kind of addicting and I feel like I will definitely go back and do more art soon. <3
