Dining at Lola Maria Restaurant of The Legend Villas
During my stay at The Legend Villas (which you can read here), I was happy we were treated with must-try filipino dishes at Lola Maria Restaurant located on the main building of the hotel. Apart from the usual ala carte dining experience, they also hold Lunch buffets everyday and acoustic session on saturday nights.
This unlimited omelettes and pancakes for breakfast were totally to drool for! I regret getting tons of food when I realized that I can have my own layers of pancakes done by the chef on board.
They also have a create-your-own-salad bar where the freshest ingredients can be mixed together on your bowl with your choice of dressing.
If there's one thing I'd definitely go back at Lola Maria, It would definitely be these baked tahong. They were baked in overloaded cheese goodness, and as a dairy lover, I'd give this a five out of five stars!
Another must try dish here in Lola Maria is the Tapa Rice. This alone can really fill up your tummy if you aren't into viands. The salted egg and the beef makes a good texture with the rice which can definitely make anyone ask for an extra cup pronto!
This Kare-Kare really reminds me of my mom's cooking back home. Tasting this dish makes me feel as if I never left home and devour myself to the crunchy veggies that comes with the tender pork twalya.
As always, I wouldn't pass the opportunity to treat my sweet tooth with the desserts that they have in their menu. The fudgie brownies is just the right amount of moist making you dip every slice with the tad watery vanilla ice cream and burquillos.
I'd say these cheesecakes were a crowd favorite, too! My sister can't get enough of these cheesecakes all throughout our conversation past dinner. :p
