The Year Ender: Ten Best Lifestyle Wanderings This 2014

Wednesday, December 31, 2014

As I was drafting this post, It just came to me on how gala I've became this 2014. I came out of my shell and discovered what life has to offer once I got out of my comfort zone. It was an achievement, I have to say. With that, I thought of coming up with this year ender post where I sum up TEN of my best wanderings this 2014.

If you are interested to know more of my wanderings, you can click the title so you can be lead to the original post.

This is the first major hair change that I've experienced ever. I always dream of having that beach waves and I can't thank Cynos enough for letting me achieve somehow close to what I wanted. At first, I was kinda in doubt with the results. Maybe because I'm still not used to it. Then months came where I receive compliments of how natural it looked--even my sister had her hair curled months after.

No doubt, Eyebrow Reborn is a life-saver. It instantly made my eyebrows a good frame for my face. I actually got this service from Sister Secrets PH. With this semi-permanent tattoo, I can go out without putting too much makeup on because my eyebrow says it all. It's truly life-changing! I'll never have another tattoo done except for my eyebrows. :)

The Best Christmas Gift I've Gotten This 2014

Thursday, December 25, 2014

This Christmas is probably different from the past Christmas that I've celebrated. For the past years, it was all about festivity, lots of food, and most of all, a complete family. My sisters were not here at our home (at the moment) which makes us all feel less complete.

I went to Church this morning and reflected on the readings. Still, I'm happy to be reminded that of all things that surrounding us, we should all remember that Christmas is all about the birth of Jesus Christ. The day God gave his only begotten son to save each of us from sin. I think that makes up from all the Christmas blues that I've been experiencing lasr night.

Few weeks ago, I received a special gift from someone who I knew just the last quarter of 2014. Shari  of Truly Aesthetic was so sweet to ship this box of Assorted Bath Affirmations that she actually handcraft all the way from North Carolina at USA.

I am so new to Bath Affirmations. Here is what is written on the description.

Indulge your spirit with an assortment of Bath Affirmations™! This beautiful variation is an absolute luxury to behold due to the exquisite way in which these all natural and organic herbal bath salts enhance the environment of your bath.

Luxurious Pampering Experience at Luminisce Holistic Skin Innovations

Wednesday, December 24, 2014

Woot! Writing this post on the 24th of December. Greeting everyone a Merry, merry Christmas! :) This blog post is probably one of my best wanders this 2014. And I cannot wait to share it with you all!

I got to try out Luminisce over at BGC and have my skin checked by Luminisce' Dra. Kaycee Reyes. Heard she got a good background at medicine since she finished her undergrad at University of Santo Tomas and post graduate education at premiere colleges at London.

Just to give you a background of my skin situation at my face, it was a blessing that my face is not as acne prone as some of my sisters. (Thanks mom!) But, with the kind of field that I am in, I am oblige to often stay up causing me to build up that certain bulges on my under eye. AKA the most common college student problem everr.

#BeYOUtified by Danah and Stacy

Sunday, December 21, 2014

Series of events had been happening side by side for me on the recent weeks. I feel so guilty not updating this blog as daily as I should. But still, I'm happy that you (aka the wanderers) are still there to check out my blog on whatever things I try to unearth.

Just to let you know, this is a blog post that I'm truly excited to share everyone since I consider this as one of the major things that I learned this 2014--and it's all about MAKEUP

Last November 25, Danah and Stacy hosted the #beYOUtified makeup workshop. A workshop that is filled with bonding while we learn basic makeup techniques and hair makeover at Azta Urban Salon-SM Jazz, Makati.

I just did my makeup haul from a drugstore near the salon hours before the start. That's how busy I got over the past few weeks. I rushed buying makeup stuff AN HOUR before the start of the session. So just imagine my stress before the workshop. Ha ha.

The reason why I still commend myself despite my rush makeup hauling is that, I still managed to check out other beauty blogs on what are the may-not-be-the-best makeup in drugstores but at least can suffice the need for a basic daytime makeup look the morning before I bought "drugstore" makeups.

Inspired By Bianca Gonzales' "Paano Ba 'To?!" Book

Tuesday, December 16, 2014

It's been a while since I last posted here. Hola, dear wanderers!

School has been a bummer. Requirements here and there, life events, plus my work at Sister Secrets, it's been quite challenging to juggle them all at the same time. But, despite the hardships, I take them all as a great opportunity to learn and enhance what I know. Everything's charged to experience.

There are times where I'm about to quit because life can be really tough at times. I know you know how that feels. I'm just glad that there are actually people existing, who I look up to, so that I can tell myself, "If they can do it, then why can't I?". And one of my #LifePeg is Bianca Gonzales-Intal.

Just to cut it short, I aspire where she is currently in now. A TV host, an Editor-In-Chief for Meg Magazine, Inspirational blogger, and now an author. To see her in person would already move me to be like her. And I did!

I'm lucky to get myself a copy of her first of many books entitled, Paano Ba 'To?! How to Survive Growing Up at National Book Store, Trinoma Mall.

Paano Ba 'To?! book is basically about Bianca's advice on different stuff from time management, family, Career and Money, Love life, and even Purpose. Indeed, anyone can relate to with this piece of art.

"We keep this love in a photograph
We made these memories for ourselves
Where our eyes are never closing,
Hearts are never broken
and time's forever frozen still.." -Photograph by Ed Sheeran

'Tis the season to be merry, Can't you believe it? Only 14 days before we celebrate Christmas? Time flies so fast!

As you can see on my introduction of this post, I wrote down some of the lyrics of Ed Sheeran's Photograph (which is my favorite song at the moment). Which leads me to telling you what Fujifilm has in store for all the photo savvy people out there. Including me.

6 Reasons Why I Will Dine Again At Fratini's Restaurant

Tuesday, December 9, 2014

As for me, I find SM Jazz, Makati an underrated place where you can find variety of food places wherein you can dine with your friends and loved ones.

In the lane of restaurants offering scrumptious food option lies Fratini's restaurant. A casual dining Italian Restaurant where you can find delicious but healthy options on their wide array of Italian dishes.

I listed below the 5 reasons why I will dine again in this Italian Restaurant. (In no particular order)

1. Wide Space, Clean looking Restaurant

This is how Fratini's look like from the outside of SM Jazz, Makati. Since the restaurant also offers cocktails, wines and other liquors, you can order and have your drinks outside while smoking. (Don't get me wrong, I don't encourage smoking here.) But I would love to tag my friends who smoke along when I dine in here.

You can check out there big menu from the outside and see what Italian food entices you!

You can also see Fratini's at Zomato. Click here.

Vision Building with BDJ Bookstore Series

2015 is fast approaching! Can you believe it? Insane because it's just 16 days before Christmas and I haven't had my Christmas shopping yet. And neither did I prepare myself physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially for the year coming.

When BDJ announced that they will be having a Bookstore Series about Vision Building, I didn't hesitate and marked the date. It was actually the first BDJ event that I attended which happened in the south. This one was held at National Bookstore in National Book Store.

Where is your Go-To Skin Centre?

Saturday, December 6, 2014

Hi, Wanderers!

This question is not being raised often but, "Where is your Go-To Skin Care Centré?"
Like what I said last time, it's very important to invest on your skin as early as possible to prevent your skin from aging fast. As for me, my teen years are over, that's why I choose Belmeré Skin Care Centré as my go-to skin care centre.

Last September, I was lucky to experience great skin care service courtesy of Belmeré Skin Care Centré at their relocated Alabang branch. From their strategic location at the south, the beautiful and kind owner Ms. Michelle, cozy clinic, reasonable prices of their services to the awesome staff, everything about Belmeré Skin Care Centré is commendable on my end.

On the last week of November, I was able to visit their San Antonio-Shaw Blvd. branch just near the EDSA Shangri-La Mall. The place was easy to find. Whether you're gonna commute or you have a car with you, you'll definitely can't miss this one out.

Wednesday, December 3, 2014

Hola, Amigos! Cómo estás?

After days of crazy school works, job responsibilities and the others, I am back for another fun-filled experiences in my wanderings over the past week! Let's start it off at a hidden treasure at Quezon City, Philippines!

Located in the street of Malakas, at Diliman, Quezon City lies this Resto Cafe called Mateo's.
I didn't found it hard looking for this place since their is a transportation from MRT Kamuning going to V. Luna St. in Quezon City. (Go to Google map for directions, It helps a lot!)

Aqua Mineral Bondate + Total Silk Body Scrub and Blissful Body Butter Review

Thursday, November 27, 2014

Prior to the actual day of this bondate with co-bloggers, the name of the brand, Aqua Mineral, seemed familiar to me. I just can't remember at first how I became knowledgeable about it.

Only to find out that I've been seeing their kiosk at Alabang Town Center. How will I not forget about it. They have a very fragrant kiosk with smiling attendants. The thought of going to the product's actual launch at the Gramercy Cafe put that smile on my face as soon as I realized everything.

Teppanyaki Xpress

Saturday, November 22, 2014

It's a busy day for me on the day I was invited at Teppanyaki Xpress for a Foodie meetup. It was my first a perfect lunch since I am on the grind since that morning.

Teppanyaki Xpress is located at Fisher Mall at Quezon Ave. Northerners be glad. Delectable teppan dishes are at your reach! Wish they'll have a south branch, too.

I Showered With Dial Coconut Body Wash + Review

For people who are of my age bracket, I know that at some point in your life, Dial Coconut Soap has been part of your bath time. It's now back, and I think it'll be back for good!

Soap products come and go, each brand claiming a uniqueness that sets it apart from its competitors, be it an extra ingredient for cleansing or a supposed cutting-edge solution for certain benefits. However, in the end, perhaps the true test of a winner is time, a brand that has lasted for a long time, been relished by many generations, and yet keeps reinventing itself in the process.

This is the "Coco" that everyone has been talking about lately.

The Dial Coconut Water Bath Wash and Soap.

Runway Looks To Cop This Holiday Season

Monday, November 10, 2014

At the recently concluded Philippine Fashion Week (PhFW), Forever 21 was the first fashion brand to rule the catwalk at this year's series of shows. Since Forever 21 is one of my favorite brand, (and since it's their first time in PhFW) I didn't missed the chance to see what they got on their latest collection.

And guess what? I may have just found the looks that I'll be copping for the couple of days before the year ends.

If ever you're still in search of the style that would be a part of your annual list of must-buy-clothes this christmas, you may wanna take a peep below and see what suits your style best.

100th Post: I'm A Monster Scholar!

Thursday, November 6, 2014

I've never, ever dreamt of having myself heard on the national radio. Until the day I got interviewed because I am one of Monster RX 93.1's scholars for this semester.

Acupuncture 101 with Dr. Philip Tan-Gaute

Friday, October 31, 2014

Ever heard of acupuncture in the Philippines? I guess you might be thinking of those acupuncture scenes in foreign movies. Well, that's the first thing that came into my mind when I found out I'll be dining with a renowned doctor who is known for his expertise in traditional and chinese medicine.

It was a dinner at Village Tavern when I met Doctor Philip Tan-Gaute along with other bloggers.

New Home in the South: Belmere Skin Care Centre Alabang

Truth to be told, I am not really a fan of skin care centers. But, this year, as I get invited to different clinics to try out services, my thoughts began to change and now I am the one promoting them freely because of the good services that they offer.

I am now twenty years old. And yes, I've realized that as early as now, I have to invest on skin care so my future me will thank myself for taking care of my skin. Do you feel the same?

I'm so happy because last September 25, 2014, the newest branch of Belmere Skin Care Centre was launched at Alabang!

Felt like Anastasia Steele at Nailfinity's Trendy Nail Salon and Spa

Thursday, October 30, 2014

I know what you're thinking when you first saw my title. FIFTY SHADES OF GREY.

Oh yes, I'm a huge fan of Fifty Shades. I actually get to read the 3 books in weeks time. I fell in love with how love in their situation worked out. But, i'm not giving you a book report on this post. I just wanna use the feeling of how Christian Grey wanted to make Ana Steele be the flawless girl that she can be to describe my latest nail and waxing salon discovery!

As we all know, Christian wanted Ana to be hairless and pampered. Since the guy's filthy rich, he had Ana visit a certain nail and waxing salon. Upon my visit at Nailfinity Nail and Waxing Salon at Taft Avenue (infront of De La Salle University-Manila), I was reminded of this part and this place became my total pampering haven.

Actually, I've been visiting this salon for quite some months already. But I guess, this is the perfect time to blog about this wonderful place since I'm here with fellow bloggers to unveil what's in store for us. :)

#DiscoverOmbre with Azta Urban Salon + Giveaway worth 3500 php++

Monday, October 27, 2014

Changing something on my crowning glory (may it be through hair color, hair style or treatment) is something that I always wanna do. I easily feel bored with my hair after weeks time which makes me do something about it to feel good about myself.

The last change that I did with my hair was when I had it permed last December 2013. Yes, the perm is still there. But the busy student in me can't maintain it monthly that's why it looks horrid now. You can click here to check out the best product to use if you are planning to have your hair nano permed.
