Choose Wellness, Choose Nestle!

Saturday, August 24, 2013

Health and Wellness has been my priority lately ever since I got into jogging again. I've realized the importance of maintaining a great lifestyle after all the strenuous activity I've been to. That's why when I found out that there will be a health and wellness event like Nestle Wellness Expo,  I  never missed the chance to go to this unique one of a kind event.

Last July 14, 2013, I went to the Nestle Wellness Expo at the Megatrade Halls 1-3, SM Megamall.

This event is already on its 4th year and it’s been anticipated by families living mostly around the Metro.

To be able to take part on this event, you may either register online or walk-in through the Megatrade Hall 2. (But I suggest you register online because the place gets crowded easily!)

Upon registration, they will give you a bracelet tag which you’ll be presenting on every booth that you are about to visit.

If there is one thing that I love in this Expo, it would definitely be the technology that they had used in the event. The bracelet tags given to every participant serves as their time inside the venue. Also, you can check how many booths have you visited already  just by tapping your tag to the  tablet held by the Nestle Wellness Expo staff on every booth.

After the registration, the ushers will lead you to a room discussing the Expo’s rules and regulations.
It was discussed on the rules and regulations that every participant should stay inside the premises for maximum of two hours.

If you get to visit at least three Wellness booths and have your own nutritional consultation taken at the same time, you get to take home a token from Nestle--a Nestle Umbrella!

Different booths from the vast range of the brands of Nestle are there to grace the event. (Each booth is giving away their own freebies that's why it would be best to visit them all!)

Nestle Ice Cream

Different Variants of Bear Brand

Nestle Nesfruta

Cetaphil

Nestle Fruit Selectionn Yoghurt

Nestea Iced Tea

Nestle Low-Fat Milk

Nesvita

Milo

Even the Nestle Wellness has their own booths for everyone!

Wellness Quiz Bee Booth

Pose Your Wellness Booth

Nestle Kitkats are also overflowing around the place. (Yummy!)

Of all the booths that I’ve been to, I’d like the Nescafe booth best. They’re already celebrating their 75th year and I should commend how they set up their booth.

On the leftmost part of the booth are the different products of the Nescafe brand.

Woot! I tried their latest product-the Frappe.

I also participated on one of their games. You’re just going to pass the balloon to the one on your right. Once the music stops, you’re out.

Yaay! I won a canister filled with the different Nescafe products.

Here is the Nutritional Consultation Booth wherein Nutritionist-Dietitians are present to analyze what lifestyle do you have now and how would you make it better. They would also recommend you certain products that would help you maintain a better and suitable lifestyle.

In the end, I met the requirements needed and had my own Nestle Wellness Expo Umbrella (apart from all the freebies that I received from the booth)!

In this Expo, I had learned that Balanced Diet and Balanced Exercise is equals to Balanced Life. Live Life, Live Healthy! Choose Wellness, Choose Nestle! :)

NBA Craze in the air y’all!

Thursday, August 15, 2013

Err, I’m not really a solid basketball fan but I can say that I appreciate Championship games a lot. I got these influences from my dad and my brother. Now, beware that I will be saying little basketball terms that might shock some.

Did you know that one of the NBA Pre-season games will be held here in the Philippines? The pre-season game will be between the teams of Houston Rockets and Indiana Pacers. It will be held at the Mall Of Asia Arena on October 10, 2013. It will be the first NBA pre-season game in the Philippines. Cheers to that!

To name a few of the NBA Superstars of these teams, Paul George, Jeremy Lin and James Harden are some of the players to be expected in Manila in a few months time.

Now, why am I saying this? It is because in accordance to this pre-season event, the NBA 3X Philippines 2013 was held last July 26-28, 2013 at the Mall of Asia Music Hall, Pasay City and Philippine International Convention Center, Metro Manila. If you’re wondering what NBA 3X Philippines is, it is an event presented by Sprite wherein Basketball fanatics are in for a treat as boys and girls of all skill levels-with an open division for men and women-will be able to participate vie for top honors and bragging rights. The event will be based on the FIBA 3-on-3 format and rules, and provide participants and fans the total NBA experience with entertainment and unique interactive elements.

You don’t mess with the bAD Kids

Tuesday, August 13, 2013

The Acquaintance party of the Department of Advertising and Public Relations in the Polytechnic University of the Philippines had become a trendsetter when it comes to fashion. The department comes up with different themes to challenge the creativity of every Advertising and Public Relations student.

The theme for this year’s Acquaintance Party is “bAD Kids”. Well, everyone gets the chance to look bad for the night.

Disclaimer: Looking bad is different from acting bad.  Showing inappropriate actions during the event is strictly prohibited.

To tell you about the party’s details, it was held last August 10, 2013 at the Boiler Room located in Marikina City.

Of course, I wouldn’t pass the chance to achieve that certain Bad Look. But, I have to say that I really really had a very hard shopping for clothes that would really relate to this theme. I wanted to be exceptional yet would still wanna maintain the same taste I always had. I don’t want to look gory or Gothic just by wearing the heavy eyeliner on. Another consideration I had in mind was that I would buy something that I could use for different outfits. I don’t wanna end buying something that would later get buried in my closet.

So here are my picks, a unique printed black top, a white skater skirt, black stockings, and gray-black sneakers.

I hope you could find time to drop your comments about my get-up below. J

My friends also came up with their own unique look on looking like a bad kid.

We all had a comfy yet rocking outfit that night. And yes, the party was hella awesome and I’m glad I didn’t miss it.

Kudos to Ber2D (BAPR 3-2D) for organizing such a great great party for the whole ADPR community! J
